NAACP No Longer Represents Masses of Black People in This Country

The good news here is that the NAACP no longer embodies or represents the actual needs, desires, and aspirations of the MASSES of black people in this country (thank God!). Their organization has been out of serious touch with a mass constituency since the early 1960s when they were systematically eclipsed by King, Malcolm, SNCC, CORE, and the many emerging black nationalists and various revolutionary groups. So their endorsement of Hillary only means something to a relatively small numer of upper middle class black professionals and regional politicians who slavishly owe their political allegiance to the Democratic Party (and specifically the major and by far the most powerful policy group within that Party--the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) which is run with an iron fist by none other BILL CLINTON and AL GORE). In other words: Most of these men and women are--how shall I put this in the "nicest way possible"? ...NOTHING BUT SELLOUTS. They always were and they always will be. So I am not really too concerned about the NAACP as far as national voting strength is concerned (it's a very good thing politically and ideologically that 75%-80% of our people ARE NOT generally from the black professional class because far too many of the blackfolks from this class are RANK OPPORTUNISTS AND PROFESSIONAL HUSTLERS who are always looking for political favors --and MONEY--from their powerful white mentors and benefactors--like Bill Clinton and the DLC). This is precisely why the Clintons are calling in all their markers now from these lackies...

As for Robert Johnson of BET INFAMY the less said the better. This cretin has ALWAYS kissed the asses of his white corporate colleagues, partners, and sponsors even though he's a BILLIONAIRE. It just goes to show that no matter how much MONEY a person has IF THEY DON'T HAVE ANY INTEGRITY, A SENSE OF INDEPENDENCE, OR A GENUINE LOVE AND CONCERN FOR THEIR PEOPLE that person will ALWAYS gladly do the bidding of his MASSA(S) so long as THE PRICE IS RIGHT. I have always had a seething contempt and revulsion for Johnson and people of his ilk in corporate America who are as adept at ruthlessly exploiting and manipulating us as any vicious white Wall Street banker, corporate mogul, or politician. MANY people--black, white, red, yellow, and brown-- agree with me on Johnson I'm very happy to say. Johnson and people like him ARE THE ENEMY and just because he's rich and has a black face doesn't mean he cares anything about us or our struggle. I don't EXPECT Robert Johnson to be anything but the conman, shyster, Democratic Party shill, and greedy capitalist businessman THAT HE IS..

This all means that this presidential race is NOT going to be decided by the political and economic ELITES--black or white. It will be decided by a massive NATIONAL GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGN and the direct participation of MILLIONS of black people who will organize and vote for the candidate of their choice NO MATTER WHAT THE ELITISTS SAY OR DO OR WHO THEY ENDORSE. We should all remained focused strictly on us--the masses--and not concern ourselves with people and organizations who never really cared about or responsiblyrepresented OUR role and participation in politics anyway. This goes DOUBLE for black people who want to SELL US to the Democratic and Republican Parties lock, stock, and barrel so that THEY can increase their personal wealth and status at our expense. Thankfully this entire movement is about way more than what these assholes think and believe. As always it's up to US and US ALONE to make this work. If we make the mistake of depending on any individual or organizations we will miss our opportunity to do what's truly necessary to change conditions. Self-determination is always far more important than any kind of dependency. That's what real political maturity really means. We got much bigger fish to fry than these opportunist Bozos...KEEP YOUR EYES (and mind) ON THE PRIZE...HOLD ON...

Oprah's Endorsement of Obama

I think Oprah's endorsement is a very positive thing. I was really surprised that she finally decided to get publicly involved in someone's campaign for the first time (you KNOW everybody and they Momma have been asking Oprah to endorse them over the past 20 years!). But I'm glad she waited until Barack came along to make the plunge. I'm sure it really pisses the Clintons off since they and Oprah are longtime friends, but this is precisely what I mean about the great value of PERSONAL INTEGRITY. Oprah went with the candidate of her choice and didn't allow the fact that Bill and Hillary are two of the most powerful (and popular) politicians in this country to keep her from taking a public stand on behalf of a Brother. Many--if not most--highly visible and tremendously wealthy blackfolks would not have done it--especially if they knew and were close to the Clintons. But I really appreciate Oprah standing up to the plate and doing what she genuinely feels and knows to be the right thing. It also shows that Oprah ain't afraid anymore to openly support a highly accomplished black man who's not an entertainer, athlete, or show business type. I'm really glad to see that because that hasn't always been the case in the past. It shows real growth and maturity on her part.

As for John Kerry: I would LIKE to think that Kerry is making this endorsement out of the sheer goodness of his heart, I really would. But REALITY AND ACTUAL KNOWLEDGE OF HIM tells me different. It's clear that Kerry is trying to 'stick it' to the Clintons (probably Bill more than Hillary) for what he perceives as their lukewarm support for him in 2004. The Kerrys and Clintons have ALWAYS been very chummy and mutually supportive of each other for over 35 years so it's very surprising to see him endorsing Obama so EARLY in his campaign. t means that Kerry really wants to help Obama win the nomination-- otherwise if he had any doubts or misgivings he would have waited at least another 2-3 months to make up his mind. But clearly he's with Obama for the LONG HAUL-- both through the nominating process and the potential run for the White House--and that only means that he's VERY UNHAPPY with or even ANGRY with the Clintons. Having said all that however I'm sure Obama can use his support--especially with the potential increase in independent white middleclass liberal and moderate voters outside the Democratic Party who still haven't made up their mind about who they are going to vote for. So for what it's worth I'm certain Obama is very pleased to have Kerry on his side. OTES ARE VOTES after all...Stay tuned...

More Comments on NAACP

More comments from one of my sisters:

How sobering...I know you speak the TRUTH...I wish more people did AND would...ESPECIALLY in corporate America...I see it everyday - a bunch of ass-kissin sellout's...it's so tiring...what's most frustrating is: "you know, that they know, that that's what their doing" but they do it anyway, cause as you put it ..they do not have genuine love and concern for their own people (and obviously themselves). Other names that come to mind include Justice Clarence Thomas and the infamous Mr. Ward Connerly who headed the drive in California to end Affirmative Action. While, people like Ron Brown and Reginald Lewis of the Beatrice Foods Company, after announcing he wanted to take his company public i.e., to Wall Street, - died under "mystrious" circumstances!!!

Speaking of "billionaires" and endorsements - what do you think about Oprah's and John Kerry's endorsement of Obama?
